👋🏼 Hi! I’m Bruna, nice to meet you.
I’m a writer and an immigrant in Europe. I have worked as an in-house and freelance content creator, copywriter and communications strategist for advertising agencies, film studios, companies and NGOs for the last ten years.
🌅 In 2019 I had the opportunity to participate in a Hope-Based communications workshop led by Thomas Coombes in Lisbon. It was the kickstart to gathering the tools for storytelling and strategic communications focused on racial, social and economic justice.

Hope-Based communications is a methodology that actively promotes the values and solutions to build a society centred on respect for human rights. It focuses on empathy and a sense of togetherness to create narratives that counter the climate of fear and division that populists are trying to establish. The strategies for Hope-Based comms were created by Thomas Coombes.
I apply that methodology in the stories, content and communication strategies I create, together with other tools, sources and research. I am inspired by adrienne marie brown, Nêgo Bispo, Anat-Shenker Osorio, Paulo Freire, Aílton Krenak, Geni Nuñez, Richard Tarnas, Naomi Klein and others.
